Foundational Ministry Concepts
We must not mirror the three-to-thrive mentality. Three meetings a week: Sunday Morning Service (including Sunday School), Sunday Evening, and Wednesday night.
Solid Rock Christian Church Core Values 1. Biblically Faithful: We hold that the Holy Scripture, the Word of God, is the final authority rather than church tradition. We endeavor to be innovative and flexible as long as we do not violate Scripture.
2. A Commitment to Sound Doctrine through Bible Exposition: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; it is authoritative and trustworthy as the rule of faith and practice for Christians. We believe that the Bible is both timeless and timely, and relevant to the common needs of all people at all times and to specific problems of contemporary living. Therefore, we are committed to equipping the Saints through purposeful preaching and teaching of God’s Word, to follow Jesus Christ in ever area of life.
3. Wonderful Worship, Powerful Praise, and Purposeful Preaching: We seek to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth and affirm that faith cometh by hearing the Word of God. Therefore, we shall worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (1 Chron. 16:29), we shall praise Him for it is good to sing praises unto our God, and we shall endeavor in our preaching to declare the whole counsel of God.
4. A Commitment to Excellence: We believe that the God of our Salvation deserves the best we have to offer. The Lord Himself is a God of excellence. Therefore, in every area of ministry at Solid Rock Christian Church, we will seek to maintain a high standard of excellence to the glory of God. This will be achieved when every person is exercising his or her God-given spiritual gift, in accordance with the love of Christ.
5. Christ-centered Loving Relationships: We believe that a Christ-Centered loving relationship should permeate every aspect of Church life. This includes love-driven ministry, ministry that fosters inclusiveness, and edifying one another as we uplift Christ.
6. Outreach Evangelism: We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the Church. Therefore, we shall be actively involved in the Great Commission.
7. A Commitment to Growth: Although numerical growth is not necessarily a sign of God’s blessings, and is not a sufficient goal in itself, we believe that God desires for each of us to reach as many people as possible with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will prayerfully pursue methods and policies which will facilitate numerical growth, understanding that God must ultimately give the increase, while we hold fast to His Word without compromising in any way, our integrity or our commitment to biblical truth.
